Studio shoot

Over the past few weeks we have done multiple shoots with the band but simply in locations and using our phones. This is because it has proven quite difficult to book the photography studio to take pictures of the band to have this professional element to the band. However Alexa managed to book the studio for us to photograph the whole band in. Although we were only able to do this for 15 minutes. Meaning we didn't have much time. Before the band arrived we prepared the lights for a natural soft white lighting, using two soft boxes. We also used the black backdrop as we didn't have much time and using black meant we could easily edit the black backdrop to be a different colour. When the band arriver Maia and I had reference images we wanted to re create on her iPad which we found on instagram. These images were all including the whole band and very much simple. Therefore Maia and I directed the band members whilst Alexa took the pictures. This worked well although it would have been more successful if we had longer in the studio.

When photographing the band we experimented with various different styles and poses using the whole band. We also included different coloured lights, this simply involved using different gels over a light creating a pink purple and other colours. Through doing this we had multiple different outcomes, in which we will use for the digipack and other graphic posters to include on the instagram.
