Here is a selection of some of the images which I created into polaroids. They all have the same homemade feel to them. With these images I will select a couple of the most effective images and use them on the instagram. Doing this adds another elements of media to the instagram. For the instagram I will use both posey shot on the polaroid and a group one in which it looks though the band is having a nice time. This was easy to create therefore if I get any other images I will experiment with this app and turn the images into polaroids, although I will only post two on the instagram. In the pictures I selected to transform into a polaroid they show a variety of different locations and aesthetic this was so I could experiment and see what looks the best for the instagram. From doing this I learnt that the best images are the close ups as they are the most clear. The big group ones are not as effective as they are less visible. I did not realise this would happen as I intended on just using big group polaroid pictures but instead I will post polaroids with just one or two band members in.
This is one of the polaroids I chose and developed it further by editing it in adobe illustrator. I took an image of Kate our lead singer of which I took of her in the music room leaning on an amp and next to the drums. I also used a fish eye lens to get a wide distorted effect on the image. With the picture I changed it to black and white as it focuses viewers attention on the text which displays the band name. I then placed the image on a blue background as I have often used blue as I felt it matched the bands aesthetic connecting the band to the beach and sea. Then using the font I created which has a pinky purple text complimenting the background and the polaroid. The background puts emphasis on the text with the colours I chose. I really like this image as I think it shows the band is quirky and unique with the sense of design in this image. I will then include this on the instagram along with another polaroid but it will include less editing but instead be purely a polaroid.
