Creating a Spotify poster

 

When I was re searching different bands instagrams I found that a big part of there posts are posters digitally made designed posters. This specific one is from Spotify showing the whole band behind a graphic image. This would really enhance the professianilty in our instagram for the band. The use of black and white focuses your attention on the text above which suggests the genre of music. Using a specific word to sell our band then with the poses going hand in hand with the text.

Using Adobe illustrator I created a graphic background similar to the picture I found. Instead of using red I experimented with multiple different colours and decided blue was most effective as it could represent the beach sea. Instead of red which is very much rock and our band is more indie and calm which I think blue portrays that idea clearly. I then went on to create similar geometric shapes to the image.

I then exported the document into photoshop were I added an image I took on my phone of Oscar one of our band members. This is just temporary to get a feel of the design, as the image is bad quality and can be seen clearly. I will also go on to add the other band members to the image. I think the poster is effective and shows a new cool perspective of the band suggesting that they have done well using different forms of media and platforms.
